Title: State of the art in the use of erbium lasers in ceramic restorations
In recent decades, the growing aesthetic demand in Dentistry has brought a greater demand for ceramic restorations. However, these restorations may represent a challenge in clinical dental practice in terms of adhesion to the dental substrate and its removal. In this scenario, erbium lasers may represent an interesting option, contributing to the success of clinical approaches. In addition to increasing the bond strength of some ceramic materials, it has certainly emerged as a new paradigm in the context of the removal of ceramic restorations, reducing clinical time for its removal and greater preservation of the remaining sound tooth structure. This presentation will present the latest and greatest scientific evidence in the literature on the use of erbium lasers in ceramic materials and will discuss future perspectives.
