Title: Photobiomodulation Therapy for the Management of a Severe Inferior Alveolar Nerve Injury.

Despite its significant negative impact on the quality of life, the methods for the management of nerve injuries are still limited. This lecture is about an effective use of photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) in the management of a severe alveolar nerve injury after six months of non-improved symptoms in a patient that underwent an extraction of his lower wisdom tooth. A total of 42 sessions of PBMT took place, the application zone included intraoral and extraoral areas. In addition to the detailed case report, current in-vitro and in-vivo studies related to the use of PBMT in nerve injury will be illustrated. Hence, this lecture will give you a step by step protocol for the management of nerve injuries with PBMT.
