Title: Er,Cr:YSGG laser treatment of infected tissues in the course of periodontal diseases
There are few studies on the benefits of using the erbium-chromium laser in the treatment of periodontitis. This lecture presents the techniques of performing the Er,Cr:YSGG laser treatment of infected tissues in the course of periodontal diseases with the closed method, without forming an access flap in order to clean the bone defect and prepare the infected periodontal tissue and surface of the root cement. Cases and six months results of the conducted observations, evaluating the condition of the periodontium, will be presented the application an Er,Cr:YSGG (2780nm) laser in regenerative procedure in the treatment of periodontitis. Patients with extensive periodontal breakdown were treated with an Er,Cr:YSGG laser for granulation tissue removal, bone and root decontamination and deepitelialization of periodontal pockets and alveolar mucosa. In the regenerative procedure of bone defects Emdogain® (EMG) and granulat of human allograft Maxgraft® were used.
